I'll move a couple of prompts over to start us off, but feel free to ignore them and put your own.

"See to that," Jamie said softly, and then turned his head to see the sun setting--they must have been talking for an awfully long time.

"I'll shut the curtains, and turn the light on." He offered, hearing Ivannya coming up the stairs as he moved.

"That would be lovely," Jamie murmured, and turned so he was facing Ivannya as she climbed up the stairs two at a time, breathless and curious.

"Hi, Toffee! Hi, Jamie! How is everyone! Why are we all in here?!" she asked in one breath, excited. "Are we ordering in tonight? It's late!"

"We came here so I could plan out what to make for Hendrick. And work on Jamie's vest." He answered as he settled back down. He glanced over at Jamie before answering the next question.

"Master decided we should order pizza tonight. Would you mind putting Hendrick's old sweater away again please?"

Ivannya blinked at his asking her to do things, pleasantly surprised. "Sure," she said, and flitted over to delicately fold and place the beloved sweater away. "That sounds really nice--have you picked out a pattern to replace it with?" she asked as she came back. "And his vest is really pretty so far," she peered over his shoulder.

"Thank you." He smiled at Ivannya, opening his new ebook up to the pattern.

"And we decided on the Lush cardigan, with the band of floral lace around the shoulders."

"Ooh, that's so pretty," she said approvingly. "He'll absolutely love that, he doesn't let himself be a pretty pet anymore enough, this will make him so happy. And then he'll know you really love him. What color did you want to use?"

"Well, I'm going to be using Cascade Roslyn," He started his explanation. "and I considered a dark green, but you don't get the same tweed effect from those, so I was thinking one of the darker blues - midnight, navy or dark denim. Or the deep red has a really nice tweed effect."

"Oooh, that yarn looks nice and soft," she said appreciatively from where he was showing her. "And I like the deep red or else the denim--both are really versatile colors, but the red is prettier, and Hendrick has so much boring navy stuff for work anyway. That will be such a nice pet-sweater, you'll have to be prepared to darn it," she said with an affectionate headshake.

"If there's enough Roslyn at the shop in the red then that's what I'll get, and there should be enough left to keep for darning." He giggled. "And it's not like I couldn't reknit it if I need to."

"He'd absolutely love that--when he likes something he wears it to death, back when he and master used to dress him in fancy underwear he'd wear them until the elastic died," she giggled. Then got more serious. "Why is Jamie sitting and not doing any work? He works all the time."

"We were kissing and he fell and cut his back, master said not to work, to give the cut time to close."

"Oh no! How big is it?" Ivannya asked, pulling Jamie's shirt and pullover up while he sighed.

"It's not deep, just long and awkward," Jamie tried to soothe her. "And he was just very insistent that I be lazy. He threatened to not even let me order!" he pouted rather indignantly. "Sometimes he's just so strict."

"It's in a bad position for doing anything, and love you strict's not too bad." He wondered if Master Erik had read some of the books about keeping a pet from overworking that Danny had.

"I know," Jamie fussed, and then softened. "And I suppose you're more experienced with a far less loving sort of strictness."

"Uh-huh." He yawned as he responded, and he put his knitting away. "Could we all try napping together maybe?"

"Your bed here or the bed on the top floor?" she asked, yawning at the very suggestion.

"The bed here's big enough I think." He glanced over at Jamie.

"Well, alright," Jamie sighed a little, and hauled himself up with a wince, "Whoever wakes up first explains it to Master?" he suggested, and stepped carefully closer to the bed, unsure of how Toffee wanted them to arrange together.

"Or if he phones us to let you know what he and Hendrick want on their pizza." Toffee glanced between Jamie and Ivannya, then guided Jamie down to lie facing him, letting Ivannya decide if she wanted to be at Jamie's back or his.

Ivannya pulled her jewelry and dress off, cuddling up behind Toffee in her leggings and shift and socks, warm and drowsy already. "A warm toasty Toffee sandwich," she mumbled in glee. "My favorite. So so tasty. Love you, our baby pet-sib. So good at being shared," she giggled and closed her eyes. "One day you'll be at the center, not me."

"Love you too, love you both." Jamie was dropping off already, and Toffee quickly followed him.

(OOC: Up to you if DA Barba calls ahead, or comes in to find the three of them napping)

Barba was deep in thought about both his latest personally-handled case and his pets as he sat in the car with Hendrick on the ride home. This new case would be very difficult to prosecute; half the witnesses wouldn't cooperate and the one with the best testimony was a former cooperator who was moved by guilt--an emotion he knew could dry up at any moment. And the crime itself, while horrible, wasn't quite vivid enough to overcome the instinct to flinch away from horror in the jury unless he and Hendrick presented it very carefully.

He also worried a little about Jamie and Toffee. Jamie's sole time of bratty, self-destructive behavior was always when he was sick or injured, and he hated having to rest. They were working on it, but Barba did worry that he'd disobeyed and made things worse. And Toffee..well, clearly, Toffee needed some more bonding, some trust-building, and Barba could do that with him--but it needed time and attention, both of which were scarce commodities at times.

He half expected to walk in to a house with an irritated Jamie and peacemaker Ivannya, but blinked when he saw the kitchen was still dark, and went up with Hendrick to investigate, looking for the pets--and amazed at the cute sight of them so thoroughly tangled they might as well have oozed together, huddled under a single blanket and only slowly waking up.

"Hello master. We convinced Jamie to take a nap with us." He spoke as he lifted his head, voice sleepy.

Trust Toffee, by far the lightest sleeper, to wake up first. "I see, sweetheart," he murmured, bending to kiss his forehead. "Did you take good care of Jamie too?"
