This post is for prompts that focus on crossovers between various slavery AUs, with the crossover wizards.

I'll move a couple of prompts over to start us off, but feel free to ignore them and put your own.

"I can see that." He smiled at Ivannya as he took his own first wing, glancing over at Hendrick to make sure he was feeling okay, not neglected.

"I'm glad Jamie's feeling safe and comfortable."

Jamie was currently leaning towards him with his mouth open, eyes a little dizzy and soft, and hands twitching in his lap. Barba hummed and directed the hands to hold each other behind his back, which Jamie did eagerly, with a smile.

"What a good boy I have," Barba murmured softly. "Just stay right like that, I'll get you a little more," and began feeding him another piece of pepperoni, and nodding at Hendrick to take another. "Did it scare you when Matt was like this?" he asked Toffee directly. "Or that Jamie's all quiet now?" Not talking usually meant this was restorative after a bit too long trying to take care of every household need.

"Danny explained that it was a sort of resting for him. So not really. With Jamie I was worried because with Matt I only saw it on bad days, and he'd fallen recently." Toffee explained slowly.

(OOC: And of course if Danny and Matt had introduced it to Toffee on days that Matt wasn't doing badly it wouldn't have upset Toffee to see it in Jamie)

"Well, he does have some stuff left over from the heat stroke," Ivannya said gently. "Nowhere near what Matt has, from just what I know, but still. And he does find it very relaxing too. Running the house part means he has to do stuff, like, all day, and coordinate and decide everything."

"So we should take care of him when he needs to relax like this." Toffee nodded understandingly.

"Yes, we should just take care of him," she nodded immediately, smiling at his immediate flexibility. "Just like how if you wanted to perhaps let go a little, we'd do that for you too. It's fine to want to be taken care of; we're pets here," she said happily, and started in on pizza after licking her fingers to make Toffee and Hendrick flush a little.

"And pets help each other." He added one of Matt's favourite sayings, even if it only really applied inside a household.

"And pets help each other," she echoed back, recognizing the cadence as being a proverb, rather than a statement of uncertainty. "Did Matt teach you that too?" she asked, trying to make a little conversation to keep the dinner from being either awkward or tense again.

"Uh-huh. Except that Matt Murdock and Dove warned me that you can't always be certain of pets outside the household."

"Indeed not always," Ivannya said slowly, glancing at the others in the room, a little worried by his words. "Who's Dove, then, Toffee?" she asked, keeping it calm and casual. He seemed to have several mistrustful, wary pet-friends.

"Another friend of Danny's Matt I only met him once but he's a favourite - only I think he might have been redesignated as a pet for his patron rather than being trained as one."

"He was a working slave before? Lucky duck," Ivannya said thoughtfully. "He's probably not used to pets being good and harmless, then. We don't hurt each other hardly ever."

"Uh-huh. And he seemed pretty sheltered."

"Sheltered like he doesn't really know pets?" Ivannya asked to be sure, "Or like he's all optimistic?"

"Not optimistic. He doesn't know pets, or really understand what being a pet should mean." He answered feeling bad for Dove.

"Oh, that's really sad then," Ivannya said softly, feeling deeply for a favorite who misunderstood what he was. "Does he need some pet-friends? If he's your friend we'd like to meet him," she encouraged. "We can help him see how good and special it is to be a pet," she coaxed Toffee.

"I just met him once. Matt wanted me to see that you can come back from bad things, because Dove did."

"How did he used to be?" Ivannya asked curiously, her mind wildly speculating. "Like you--all skinny and scared? Is he still like that?"

"He's still nervous of free people, but he's not as skinny as I am, although he's still slender."

"Well, it's pretty normal for pets like you to be scared of them," Hendrick said gently, cutting into stop another 'run away almost crying' incident, "But I do hope we make you feel like one day you won't be nervous, and that he won't either."

"Yes, you do." He smiled at Hendrick, happy to have him step in to take care of them all.

(OOC: Of course things like this are part of the reason Toffee thinks of Hendrick as an authority figure, but...)

Hendrick grinned at the praise, then startled a little as Jamie crawled over to him, purring and nuzzling and kissing at him until Hendrick responded with greasy kisses and passion while Ivannya burst into teasing giggles at the sheer ridiculousness of the sight.

"Jamie's up to feeling playful, then," she laughed to Toffee. "One time, in the tiny shitty apartment, we had a real food fight, did you know?"

"No, no I didn't." He watched Hendrick and Jamie playing with a sense of delight.

Ivannya said, with her mouth full, "Jamie started it because I asked if we could eat out again and he started throwing fruit at me and I squirted mustard all over him, and then Hendrick joined in with salad toppings, and Master started going in with some wet spaghetti and everything got absolutely everywhere," she was laughing so hard her stomach hurt by the end.

"But nothing that was going to be too hard to clean up right?" He was giggling too, and he reached for a garlic knot to nibble on.
