Wow. I guess there were some instances of that in the U.S., but never came across it in my personal experience. But, yeah, I think our avocados were making pretty decent money. At least more than they'd ever seen. Otherwise, another firm would have nabbed them. What makes interns attractive is that they don't have to commit to them. Or pay benefits, for that matter, probably. *shrugs* But, they're still an investment - training has to go into them. That, and I'm sure they want talent. :)
