An AU where Matt is an identical twin. His brother's name is Mike Murdock and they were both trained by Stick. Mike is sighted - it was still Matt who saved that old guy. Stick favored Matt because he's blind and has those senses until Matt gives him the bracelet. So Stick proceeds to cut him off but continues Mike's training. Mike is maybe a bit of a jerk (like the pretend version in the comics, though maybe some of his behavior comes from growing up under Stick's influence) and he gets into the vigilante business while Matt and Foggy are in college. When Foggy finds out what Mike is up to, he doesn't approve, but he's just so glad it's not his blind best friend, Matt. Of course, Mat, being Matt, still gets into trouble sometimes, probably tries to help his brother, but that defining moment, where he beats up that girl's father doesn't happen. Instead Matt complains about it when talking to his brother Mike and Mike does it instead...
(I can just picture the scene where Claire wants to call the man she pulled out of the dumpster "Mike". LOL Whether it's Matt or Mike she saves is up to you.)

which led to And because Matt's never there when he does, Foggy grows suspicious that Mike is Matt messing about, and no matter how much Matt tries to convince him he's wrong, Mike is more determined to keep him believing it
Maybe Mike will grab one of Matt's spare canes and a pair of shades and impersonate Matt to Foggy. Eventually Matt and Foggy have to come up with a code or something to prove who is who. (Or, maybe, eventually, Foggy can just tell.)
oh, maybe the big reveal is Matt and Mike duking it out in one epic tussle and Foggy looking on with his mouth gaping wide... Not only are there two of them, but they're nijas. lol
Maybe Mike is jealous that Matt has a Foggy. Not that he'd admit it, Stick wouldn't like that, and he has a proud streak, but he is. Foggy doesn't know this, but Mike totally saved him from getting mugged one evening.
He talked about it the next day, but only while he was pretending to be Matt, so Foggy still has no idea it wasn't him…
Maybe Mike tends to accumulate more buises, so sometimes it'll give him away... Only Mike's been making sure to get Matt into some fights so they look more alike. LOL Oh, and he totally messes with Matt's clothing system in hopes Matt goes about in weird color combos…
And it totally works, but Foggy thinks his new style is awesome.
omg.. lol!! Yes. And, of course, when Matt finds out, he's horrified…
He gets so paranoid about what he's wearing he starts texting (out of focus and sometimes pointed the wrong way) selfies to Foggy before he dares leave his apartment.
Yes!! Totally cannot show up to court all mismatched or in an outfit that's been stained. (Where did that neon green dress shirt come from??) Foggy saves these selfies and posts the best of them to Facebook for Karen to see…
Mike is able to infiltrate Matt's dorm and apartment so easily without Matt knowing because they smell alike and use the same unscented toiletries and laundry soap... (That, and sometimes Matt's worried and just plain old lets his brother crash on the couch, use his shower, etc.)
I bet they do that twin thing, where neither of them have much in the way of real personal boundries with each other.
So to summarize this, Mike is kind of a lovable asshole who turns up and messes with Matt and, by extension, Foggy. He enjoys either breaking into Matt’s apartment, or sometimes it’s when he’s invited, and switching the labels around on his clothes, resulting in hilarious wardrobe choices that Foggy is pretty impressed with. There’s a possibility that he’s also bringing in clothes (neon green shirts, etc!) and adding them to Matt’s collection. When Matt finds out (how? don’t know yet.) he isn’t very happy about it, and responds by texting selfies to Foggy before he leaves his apartment each day. Of course, Matt’s not great with photos, so sometimes he has the phone switched to the wrong camera or the picture is totally out of focus.
