He giggled then, remembering something he'd overheard once. "One woman said the trick to making men move aside for her, not them forcing her to move aside is walking like she's been sent to kill Captain America."

Matt giggled too, imagining himself radiating that sort of feeling, and asked with bright curiosity, do you feel like the blind eyes or else glasses help? Some people say they're unnerving.

"Hmmm...people tend to not realise I'm blind as much without the glasses, so the glasses are better I find. Means they don't get upset that I'm not looking at them the right way."

Matt nodded thoughtfully, and opened his mouth to explain how he had two different pairs of glasses now, one small with the red for work and serious things and one with big heart-shapes for fun and being cute and petlike and not-scary, and when he was just about to pull them out to show Toffee his phone beeped loudly, startling them all, saying Foggy, Foggy, and Matt scrambled for it with his one hand, still staunching the bleeding with the other.

"That's his master." He tugged the others away a bit, hoping that they'd heard a different name than Foggy.

"Would you like us to give you a bit of privacy Golubushka?" Jamie put in.

Matt shook his head, it's your nest, he said frantically fumbling to get it, and he answered when he could, hello, what's up? and listened, blinking, to Foggy's gentle but intent concern about where he'd gone and why he hadn't answered any emails or texts, and Matt sheepishly said he really hadn't noticed any until now, he was sorry, and he was visiting the pet Toffee with Treacle and his Danny, and Foggy asked the Danny who's kind of a dick? and Matt chuckled and said yes, but he's fine, and asked softly when he needed to get back home, and Foggy paused and said actually I want to come pick you up soon-ish, but I'm flexible, just try and tell me the address, and Matt frowned and asked Jamie about that.

He frowned a bit uncertainly at the idea, but...

"He won't be allowed into the kitchen, let alone beyond." And he gave Golubushka the address.

Of course, will just want to see I'm fine and maybe say hi, Matt said warmly, and told Foggy the address, and murmured very quietly-shyly-happily love you and heard love you too and giggled a little, his face feeling hot and flushed, and then the blood spurted renewed out of his nose and he sighed deeply deeply in annoyance and hung up after Foggy did, and he said with bright wonder, he is so sweet, I love him so much, so kind and good, and asked Toffee, do you want to meet him? Is gentle nice, good with pets.

"I'm not sure..." He trailed off, looking at Jamie uncertainly. "I don't think Master Erik wants me meeting people he hasn't vetted properly. And he can't come back, he's got work this afternoon."

Even for five minutes, from across a room? Matt asked, surprised, seems a little much to me. But is okay, he will understand.

"We weren't expecting you, or we'd have researched your master beforehand. If Toffee already knew him that would be one thing, but not an introduction." Jamie clarified a bit, wondering if Golubushka had any concept of using your master as a way to get out of things you wanted to avoid.

"How upset will he be about your nose?" Matt asked. "And will he blame Danny for it?"

Matt nodded thoughtfully, and readjusted his grip a little bit on the towel, and then blinked in confusion at Treacle, giving him the look of befuddlement out of reflex, and murmured, he was in the other room? What even? Of course he'll be a bit worried, keep an eye on it, but I don't even, and a little teasingly, are you saying your Danny can psychically make people walk into doors now? using the word people carefully, deliberately.

"Of course not." He laughed at the idea. "But your master doesn't like Danny, and he's...impulsive."

He's not a liar, Matt snapped without thinking and winced at the tense horrible thick air after, and then said much more calmly and deliberately, and he's happier lately too, ever since we had that date he's just dancing on air, and he's sweet. Will want to see how much blood and all and hear about things but just fussing and concern, not mad. Would only be a problem if he'd hit me or something.

"Danny wouldn't!" Jamie and Toffee seemed shocked at the idea as well. "Was worried he wouldn't wait for you to tell him you you got hurt. Impulsive."

...sure he wouldn't, Matt said placatingly, and added, don't worry, I can distract him with my wicked wiles and natural sexual charm, and waggled his eyebrows as he said it and a fresh spurt went down his throat, making him snort most unattractively.

Are you suggesting I am not at my seducing peak? Matt asked then burst into laughter, not a very good straight man, and nodded at Toffee, will look as pathetic and sweet as I can, hopefully very very.

"I'll get you some more towels as well. Ivannya won't mind lending you the ones she uses that week of the month." He smiled at Golubushka. "As long as you're not squeamish about the idea."

Matt giggled more, only very very stupid pets worry about that, he laughed, when we were five to a cage used to get bled on, towels are nothing so close.

"Or very spoiled pets." He joined in Golubushka's giggles as Jamie retreated. "Bit surprised Ivannya isn't on long term contraception."

"She's got an IUD. But she still bleeds." Toffee explained brightly.

Matt made a noise of gentle sympathy, and said to Treacle, you and your Jamie have been so kind, sorry for all the extra work.

Can put the rubber things on the ends of the needles? So the stitches don't get all yanked off? Matt asked softly, eyes wide and trying to be pleadingly pretty, nervous coldness rising up in him and so old instincts took over, being cute and beautiful to get things, any requests.
