This post is for people who want to play more general roleplays, I'm leaving this unstructured, to play please comment with who you play (even if you think it should be obvious from your icon/username) and what sort of interaction you're looking for.

If someone wants more structure/to take over handling general roleplays please ask and I'll be happy to add at least one mod for this.

Only trouble is, it'd just re-inforce the Matt's making stuff up thing that Foggy's got in his head.

Oooh, unless Matt's just doing it to mess with him. Like Mike and Foggy are hanging out, Mike in disguise, and Matt goes over to them and and and introduces himself. Foggy would be so baffled. Especially when it turned out that Mike was Matt and vice versa. Matt explains that Mike was never going to appear as himself, so Matt did it for him. Not like Mike can complain with what he's been up to recently!

Yes - that was exactly what I was thinking... :) Sorry, it was 2:20 a.m. when I sent that one. In my head, I was thinking they were out at the bar, Mike's had a few.. and Matt walks up, taps Foggy on the shoulder and introduces himself as 'Mike'.

(I've been having issues sleeping - have a 10 minute presentation tomorrow that's making me nervous. If it were something I were into, say a legal concept or something system analysis and design related, I wouldn't be half as nervous, but instead it's about why you should hire me. I'm hoping I'll end up on the second day - I think it would take the edge off to watch other people do it first.)

Doesn't have to be that exact scenario - I was thinking maybe it's part of the lead in to their fight in front of a baffled Foggy. lol

Yeah Ilike that idea. If Matt's finally gotten sick of Mike always being unavailable or outright refusing to come and meet Foggy properly. I wonder what Foggy's reaction would be though? I bet he's be pretty angry with Mike for misleading him. Y'know, once he's worked out which on Mike is!

That sounds scary, I hope it goes well. I'm terrible with public speaking. Or speaking at all, to be honest! I'll cross my fingers you get to watch a few people first, that will almost definitely help. Good luck!

Thanks! I think I put together a good presentation. I'm so nervous and it's not like it's even for a real job, it's just a school assignment. lol. But, I stress over everything - for instance, with the paralegal degree, I really did graduate summa cum laude... my lowest grade was an A-. But really that means you only have that narrow target to hit. Anything under 93% is an A-, which are like the end of the world for me. LOL It's so silly right? Anyway, this class is harder than it looks. I feel much more confident about my systems analysis and design class... Anyway, time to stop fussing. It's making me sick.

Yeah, I think Foggy would not be happy. He'd also probably agonize over when was he dealing with Matt and when was it his brother?? LOL. Probably pick apart all the little differences between the two... Guess he'd also have a huge apology or Matt? Oh, and he'd wonder what the heck Mike's motivation for all this was, anyway... LOL I wonder what they choose to tell him?

That could lead to some interesting stuff. I mean, I doubt even Mike knows his actual motivation for wanting to pretend to be Matt. He might have these reasons that make perfect sense to us, but for him, he probably just enjoys it, so he does it. I doubt hi analyzes it. I doubt Matt does either, it;s just this weird and annoying thing his brother does, that used to be fun when they were kids, but then he started taking it too far.

Maybe, once Foggy finds out more about their history and what Mike does with his life, he could be the one that figures it out.

I have to admit, all these Latin(?) terms to do with education mean nothing to me, summa cum laude and stuff like that. I just figure if I hear something that sounds like Latin, it probably means someone did really well! Grades at university here are done differently here too, they stop using the grade A*-E thing after 6th form, which is the equivalent of after high school in the US. I have no idea why, it's so much easier to understand.

But it sounds like you will have nothing to worry about on this course if you're that academically minded. Of course, nobody ever believes they're going to do well until they see their grade, I know I don't. Wouldn't want to tempt fate! :-)

You're right, I doubt he's examined it. (It's funny how we do that sometimes with certain things.) I could see Foggy as having the perspective to figure it out, eventually.

The Latin terms mean nothing to a lot of people here, too, really, unless they have reason to want to know. *shrugs* Summa cum laude is with highest honor (of 3 degrees of praise). It's generally near perfect grades. (3.9 out of 4.0) In the show they mention a few times that Matt graduated with that. :) (I tried googling the UK university system of grading and... it does sound really confusing.)

Thanks. I gave the presentation. I actually dressed in a suit to give it. I was the only one who did... LOL Omg total nerd fail. But the prof had said we could dress up as if we were actually giving it to the audience in his scenario. It feels good to be done with it. Definitely don't want to tempt fate!

Yes, I noticed it being mentioned in the show, and I was meaning to look it up but I never got around to it. I just assumed it means he did really really well, which it does, I suppose :-)

Dressing up might have helped you, put you in the business-y free of mind and affected your demeanor. If you'd done it in, say jeans and a t-shirt you might not have felt as confident.

The system here isn't so bad, mostly. You get a first, which is the highest, then there's a 2:1, then a 2:2, then a third. That's the final grade of degree you come out with, so that's the grade you'd put on your resume or whatever. Within each module, you're generally graded by percentage point. I just never understood what's wrong wit A B C etc. Must be some weird random historical thing!

I figured better to be over-dressed than under-dressed. That and I bet the prof liked the extra effort, maybe. I was a little embarrassed when I walked in the room and was the only one who did it, but yeah, wasn't a bad thing. (It's not unusual for me to show up in business casual to school, anyway. Most of the time I don't have time to stop home and change. So I was a tad more overdressed than usual...) It was pretty interesting to watch the presentations.

LOL. Cool. I was trying to reason it out (I was pretty wiped at the time) - my heart would go in my throat if I had a 70%, but that's supposed to be good? Confused...

70% is good, and pretty hard to achieve. Not too many students come out of uni with a 1st. I'd assume it depends on the subject though, like if it's something like math where the answer is either right or wrong, I'd say if you know your stuff you could get much higher. If it's something more subjective, if you're writing essays and dissertations for everything, it's probably different.

I'd assume it must be a different marking system there to here though too, from the sounds of it.
