This post is for people who want to play more general roleplays, I'm leaving this unstructured, to play please comment with who you play (even if you think it should be obvious from your icon/username) and what sort of interaction you're looking for.

If someone wants more structure/to take over handling general roleplays please ask and I'll be happy to add at least one mod for this.

Yes! I like that. Matt must get tired of having to play real-world blind all the time and finds a way out and loves it... And it could also be the beginnings of Mike thinking he can't have his own friends because of who he is, but likes that he can have them as 'Matt'. This all being Matt's fault is kind of hilarious, too. :)

That could be. That makes sense. If Matt keeps up his fighting skills, there's the danger that Stick might take him back and Mike doesn't want that. (And maybe to have something he's better at. LOL.) And so, maybe Matt keeps up on his own somewhat because his brother is off training with Stick. I like the idea of Mike being better at some things while blind... I'm guessing Stick may have wanted him to spend a good part of his training blindfolded to make him make use of his other senses.

(I read your comments on my cell while I was on lunch - today we had a luncheon... couldn't really whip out my tablet and keyboard... Then I had school after work. That's why I'm later than usual. Can't wait for Thursday...)

Yeah, Matt might well have continued on his own, maybe pushing himself to do things and trying to heighten his awareness and hone his senses, but without guidance from Stick. Which he didn't have in the real timeline, and he did just fine. But Mike continued training for years with Stick after he dropped Matt, and even assuming Matt started out as better than him, the extra years of tuition must have made him better. If not, I'm sure Stick would have dropped him too, for not being good enough.

Talking of Stick dropping Matt from training, do you think it was for the same reasons in this world? And how do you think Matt will have reacted to the guy who was originally brought in to help him not wanting anything else to do with him, but continuing to train his brother (who he probably only started training in the first place because he was hanging around getting in the way!) Do you think Matt knew Stick was still training Mike? Because I can see that creating some major conflict between the brothers!

I think Matt had to know - Mike disappears for a few weeks right after Stick drops Matt. I think Matt would've been able to guess? Yeah, I could see it being a major area of contention. :) So Mike stays on originally because he was envious of Matt, then after "the next level" stays on to protect Matt?

Yeah, you're right, he would have to know. But maybe it's just becuase it's obvious. Maybe Mike never explicitly tells him about it and Matt just doesn't mention it. That could be how they end up not fighting over it?
