"Yes, it's good to be able to take care of my Matt." He kissed Matt on the forehead.

"I appreciate the offer, but I don't think it's necessary." He kept his voice calm. "The issue was my lack of understanding of how necessary it was, so I didn't push."

IT MAY BE BENEFICIAL, the voice cackled, and Matt grabbed onto Treacle's hand, hissing don't argue with them.

"Do need it." Matt admitted with clear reluctance, and Danny kissed him on the forehead again.

"Then we accept your generous offer."

Golubushka and his Foggy: Clearing Up

And then things suddenly changed, to not be that apartment at all, or Matt's, but rather a sudden big room that felt at once too large and too small, almost trapping, and Matt was wearing different clothes, tight stretchy shorts and a loose soft top that showed off his arms and a beautiful collar that felt like the once Foggy put on him when he was feeling deeply awful on himself, the one with little bells and smooth outside, and it also had a new thing, a tag on it, and when Matt felt it it said 'Matt' in braille and 'Property of Foggy Nelson' on the other side, and Matt felt his whole face light up in crimson pleasure for a minute, panting with it, and he leaned against Foggy, huddling against him, feeling entirely naked with this Danny being in the same room, even with his own Matt being much closer to actually naked, it sounded like.

Foggy kept his eyes carefully averted off of Treacle and his scandalously revealing outfit, instead offering his own Matt some soft petting and behind-the-ear rubs, and letting him hide behind him with the other arm. "Uh," Foggy said. "So, this is--do you recognize this room?" he asked, trying to make conversation. It was very large, even bigger than Danny Rand's penthouse living room, and the floor was incredibly soft carpet patterned like a bowling alley, and all the furniture was soft, fuzzy, and deep black, apart from little neon pet-cushions and glossy glow-in-the-dark glassware. There was what looked like a tray of finger foods, many Foggy didn't recognize on the big glass-topped coffee table in the center of the room.

Treacle and Danny: Clearing Up

"Oh!" He gasped softly as he found himself in silk briefs, and a light crocheted shrug, a soft leather collar around his neck...with a tag saying Matt Rand and Property of Danny Rand on the other side. And the fake Foggy's heartrate went up before he averted his eyes.

"No, it's not familiar to me at all." Danny answered,looking around as he pulled Matt close to him, focusing on him rather than the clearly shy Golubushka.

Foggy peered around, looking to see for any hidden doors or exits, but there simply weren't any. He jumped as suddenly a fireplace appeared and lit up, and then there was the sound of rain on the roof, and the walls changed to be made of stone.

"Huh," he said. "This now--now this looks more like a cabin I went to once. With different furniture, but still."

There was a moment of pure awkward silence before Foggy said, soft and gentle to his Matt, "Hey, do you want to try out the food?" And he braced himself for a shake of his head, but instead Matt gave the tiniest nod, eyes wide and his head tilted like he was concentrating on listening to the other people and all their heartbeats.

"Matt, may I feed you?" He asked the question gently, holding his Matt close and warm. And Matt nodded, looking distracted, so Danny led him over to settle on one of the pet cushions.

Matt felt like his skin was too tight, like he was going to rip it by accident, but Foggy didn't mind him moving slowly and cautiously, never rushing him, and when he sat he made sure Matt had a cushion, tucking it under him and pressing kisses to his hair when he climbed on and sat up. Danny's heartbeat was so fast, it made Matt twitch with anxiety, knowing he looked pretty, and maybe the Danny was staring at him--

"Mu beautiful sweet Matt." He kissed the top of his Matt's hair, pulling over a footstool to perch on and began feeding his pet, offering him a piece of sushi topped with some nice fresh salmon.

Matt was shivering, and Foggy frowned, looking for a blanket, and then found a sweater on the seat next to him. It was incredibly fuzzy, fitted, and an astonishingly flatteringly crimson. Foggy picked it up and then quickly popped off Matt's collar, helping it onto him before putting the collar back on.

"Don't worry," he said at Matt's twitchiness. "Danny isn't allowed to touch you. I won't let him." Matt relaxed a little, and ate a small piece of bread with goat cheese and honey with a blissful expression.

Matt made a slightly outraged noise, and Danny wrapped a warm shawl over his shoulders.

"It's okay, I'm yours and you're mine, and I'm not going to touch him. You're the only pet here who matters to me."

Matt snarled back at Treacle, and Foggy frowned. "Hey," he said. "It's fine. We can all respect each other's boundaries. And besides, you are definitely the best pet here," he said, teasing a little even as Matt preened.

"He's the best for you, my Matt is the best for me." But he focused his attention back on Matt, feeding him a pierogie dipped in sour cream.

"He's definitely priceless," Foggy said, kissing the top of his head until Matt actually smiled. And then he reached for the next buttery pierogie, dipping it in the applesauce. As they ate, he noticed a weird vibe between the Matts--almost competitive? They sounded like they were each trying to be more graceful and beautiful and petlike than the other.

Golubushka was trying to steal Danny! And Matt set himself to making sure that Danny could see how much better he was than the other him.

Foggy raised an eyebrow at Matt, squinting at him, and he realized that the faint trembling in Matt's back meant that Matt was also feeling jealous and insecure, his mouth set in the cold face he used when he was shredding a prosecution's case or deposing a hostile witness. He glanced at Danny, and then at each of them, tilting his head a little, as if to say, you see this bullshit? And then he cleared his throat a little, and said gently, "Hey, Danny, if you had to say, don't you think they it's interesting how different they look from each other now? Before they were wearing almost the same clothes, but now I think they're very much separate."

Danny: Clearing Up

"Yes, they're very different." He cast a quick assessing glance at Golubushka. "My Matt has more muscle, lovely sleek and compact."

"And Matt has more personality, and his hair is silky soft and smooth," Foggy stroked the crown braid it was in. "His hands are perfect," and Foggy kissed the calloused fingers, Matt shivering with desire now.

"My Matt is so thoughtful, so good at recognising the value of other people's perspectives and he works to try to accommodate how other people view the world."

Foggy felt anger deep in his stomach but kept it tempered. "Matt fights for justice, people who would have no recourse, people who are discarded by society. I've seen him made ADAs cry and when people hear he's on the case they start offering to settle immediately. And without him we wouldn't be half the force for change we are in the Kitchen--it's because of his work that we're getting closer and closer to no new pets within our lifetimes."

"That would be good." He agreed mildly. "Feral says it would be a form of soft genocide if there were no new pets, but that he wouldn't have a problem with pets dying out that way." Just with the way the abolitionists wanted to have them all put down.

Foggy opened his mouth to reply, not sure what he would say, and then stopped, looking around, and both Matts had gone from tentatively happy to looking almost sick with what he recognized as grief--guilt and horror and fear and disbelief on their faces, terrible memories probably playing at full volume. "I think we need to table that discussion," he said, and sat down gently on the floor, pulling Matt into a hug, letting him hold on tight, breathing so fast he was worried he'd faint.

"You're right." He moved to the floor himself, pulling Matt into a hug. He'd heard Feral's opinion before, but this hadn't been the place for it.

"I'm so sorry sweetheart." And he tapped out a message on his back.

'I was too angry that Foggy was trying to turn it into a competition over you to think about how you'd react.'
